Artist's Description
All dressed up and nowhere to go. This cement alligator once lived in a pond at the McKee Botanical Gardens in Vero Beach, Florida. Sadly, he is no longer there. He was a relic of a time when there were many natural tourist attractions throughout the state of Florida.
The McKee Botanical Garden opened in 1932 as McKee Jungle Gardens and boasted a collection of orchids and water lilies. About Jo Ann Gregg
Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter. As I continue to study the art of photography, I try to find new ways to highlight and show the beauty of nature. I also find enjoyment in the creative aspect of digital-editing, taking photography in a new or unexpected direction. I appreciate your visit to my site and hope you enjoy my photographs. Should you feel a special affinity to one of my images, they are...
