Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
The golden light softens the cove and the mist begins to rise as the sunlight enters the valley. As the sun rises higher, it kisses the face of the surrounding mountains. Thus begins another day at Cades Cove.
About Jo Ann Gregg
Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter. As I continue to study the art of photography, I try to find new ways to highlight and show the beauty of nature.
