Artist's Description
A fishing boat sits ready as the men gather on the wharf in front of the fish processing and packing facility in Hoonan, Alaska. Hoonan is located on Chichagof Island and is the largest native Tlingit community in the Pacific Northwest.
This photograph was processed to achieve a softer, watercolor feel.
About Jo Ann Gregg
Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter. As I continue to study the art of photography, I try to find new ways to highlight and show the beauty of nature.
