Who knows what animals really think, or if they think or only act on instinct? To me, this beautiful Lion, seen at the Jacksonville Zoo, looks to be deep in thought. Is he contemplating life gone by, wishing he could run free, or just wondering when his next meal will arrive?
About Jo Ann Gregg
Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter. As I continue to study the art of photography, I try to find new ways to highlight and show the beauty of nature.
