The grist mill on the Ocmulgee River in Juliette, GA,was built in 1927 to replace the old wooden structure. After being leased by several companies, it ceased all operations in 1957. The ambiance on this dark, rainy day emphasizes the forlorn appearance of this abandoned mill.

Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter.
