An American Herring Gull rushes along the beach to beat his flock to an afternoon fish head snack. However his victory is short lived as other birds from the flock soon catch him and try to steal his prize.This moment was captured at Jensen Beach in Martin County, Florida.

Born in New Jersey but transplanted to Florida at the age of three, I now reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. I consider myself an opportunistic photographer, attracted by the composition of nature: green leaves against the bright blue sky, a yellow leaf floating on the dark water of a stream - colors, textures, patterns, light and shadow, or an unexpected encounter. As I continue to study the art of photography, I try to find new ways to highlight and show the beauty of nature.
